Schedule Consultation

Welcome! Congratulations for taking the first, and most difficult step.

If you have not already, please download our Welcome Packet for detailed information about our program.

Getting started in the Fibromyalgia Treatment Program at the Colorado Fibromyalgia Center can be both exciting and scary. We are here to help you any way we can. Please understand this requires us to be thorough in assessing your health. We strive to make your first visit to our office a comfortable experience.

We understand how difficult it can be to trust your most important asset, your health, to a new clinic. We want you to feel supported. We want you to know that you can trust us. And, we want you to understand just how educated and experienced our team is with Fibromyalgia.

Upon arriving our front desk staff will help you with any general questions and with the scheduling process. The first step is to complete our required forms prior to your first visit. These forms include an extended health questionnaire, insurance/payment information, consent to treatment, and HIPAA patient confidentiality forms. It is a good idea to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow time for insurance and benefits verification. Please see our insurance page for accepted insurance plans. Our program offers therapies that may or may not be covered by your insurance policy and we want you to be informed prior to beginning any treatment.

The first and second visits of your Fibromyalgia treatment path are dedicated to consultation, examination, and any necessary diagnostics, such as blood work. Very rarely is treatment performed on these visits. Believe us, we want to get to treatment as quickly as possible. However, it is very important that the diagnosis be correct and that we understand the underlying physiology of your unique presentation to achieve good results.

Your first visit will be with a medical provider. Together you will discuss your health history and symptoms, and any questions you may have. It is common for us to draw blood on your first visit to further asses your health status, so we ask that you arrive adequately hydrated. If you desire to only have a consultation with the medical provider for your first visit, simply tell the receptionist when you call to schedule your appointment and we will arrange for this.

Your second visit will be a thorough physical examination. This important information will allow the doctors to have a better understanding of the physical manifestation of your condition and how we can help you.

After all information, including exams, forms, and testing are complete, your medical provider will follow up with you to go over the findings, let you know if CFC is the right clinic for you, and the planned Fibromyalgia treatment plan. Your Fibromyalgia treatment plan is constructed by an entire team of providers and is based on your individual condition. Treatment plans vary and alterations are sometimes necessary based on an individuals’ response to treatment early in the program.
